Final week of CCCB Father's or For a Male Challenge

This is the final week of The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog " Father's or For a Male" challenge.   We would love for you to take part in this challenge and you still have time.

One of our sponsors this month is Fred She Said.

I have used one of their lovely images for this card.

I have enjoyed my time as a DT member for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, but this post will be my last.  Due to family commitments and other things, I have decided not to continue in this role.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog would love you to join them still and I hope to as well from time to time.  Next month they will introduce their DT team - some continuing and some new members.  Their challenges will also become weekly ones.  Please come back and visit them.

For those of you who have visited my blog and left comments, I greatly appreciate it.  Thank you.

Angela

TCCB - ATC or Fat Page Challenge - Week 4

This is the final week for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog ATC or Fat Page Challenge.  We would love for you to take part.

Before we had this challenge I had never made an ATC or a Fat Page before.  I wasn't quite sure what they were, but once I knew, I had lots of fun making them.  If you have never made one before, here is your chance to make one.

Here is what they are:

Fat Page (A simple explanation):  4 in x 4 in card that has about as much goodness as you can fit on it without it looking tacky...A great way to use up some scraps too!

ATC (A simple explanation):  about the size of a baseball card 2-1/2 in by 3-1/2 in creation that doesn't necessarily fold - a great way to show off your work with your information on the back side of the card.  You could do like you do with a fat page and add as much as you can without it looking tacky...A great way to use up some scraps too!

Our sponsors this month have been Fred, She Said and Limited Runs Digital Stamps.

This week I have made a Fat Page and used an image from Limited Runs.

I coloured the image with Copic markers and Stampin' Up makers.  I then sponged the background to create a sky looking background and mounted onto brown card to make it 4x4".  Lastly I added various embellishments - flowers, gems, pearls, liquid pearls, butterflies, glitter  and glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.  I gratefully appreciate all comments.

TCCB - Week 2 ATC or Fat Page Challenge

It is now week 2 of The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog ATC or Fat Page Challenge.  We would love for you to take part.

This was the first time I have made an ATC and I didn't realise how much smaller than a card they are until I started creating mine.  I have used the Happy Flower digi from Fred She Says.

Here is my ATC.

It is a fairly simple ATC. It involved printing the different aspects out, choosing the leaves and flowers I liked to add to the flower pot, some fussy cutting and then putting it all together.  I love the range of colours and flowers that were available with this digi image.  To finish it off I sponged the edges of the brown card, added some gems and lastly Glossy Accents to the middle of the flower and leaves.

Thanks for dropping by.

I hope you will take the time to join our challenge.

CCCB March - Green / St Patricks Day

The theme for this month's challenge( #14) at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog is Green or St Patrick's Day.  We'd like to thank our sponsor for this month, Rick St. Dennis.

Here is the card I have made for this challenge.

St Patrick's Day is not really something that I celebrate, so I thougth I would go with the green theme and make a card with one of the wonderful images from Rick St Dennis.

I sponged some white card with green and then stamped the background with a swirly stamp, but it could hardly been seen, so I then dry embossed it with a chervon embossing folder.  Now you can see the mixture of swirls and the cherovon lines.

We would love for you to take part in our challenge which goes for this month.  Click here to see the rules and to enter.

Thanks for dropping by and for your comments.

CCCB Love/Friendship Challenge - Week 4

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog closes tonight.  With February being a short month I have just realised that today is the last chance to take part in this month's challenge - Love/Friendship sponsored by Whoopsi Daisy!

Here is my second card that I made for this challenge.

Sorry not the greatest photo.  The good news is my computer is finally working again, so I can finally take better photos with my camera rather than my mobile.

We hope to see you next Wednesday for our new challenge for March.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again soon.

Hero Arts 90 minute scramble

It has been many months since I have been able to take part in the Hero Arts 90 minute scramble.  Paula in Australia hosted this scramble.  We had 90 minutes to create a card with a Celebrations/Congratulations theme.

Here is what I made.

Flower panel card

Sorry the picture is not quite so good. It was taken with my mobile phone, rather than my camera.  We have had some computer issues.  Our computer has now been repaired, but I haven't been able to download all the programme I use with my camera yet.  Hopefully it will all be up and running again soon.

Supplies:

Stamps:  (From Hero Arts) 4 flowers CG290, Branch Background CG122, Little Greeting Happy Birthday stamp C5594
Cardstock: Kraft and orange
Ink: Versafine black, Gumball Green (Stampin' Up)
Other:  DSP (for
paper piercing the flowers), Bitty Butterfly Punch (Stampin' Up), Pearls

The scramble started at 8am New Zealand time.  It was a busy morning, getting breakfast for myself and my children, making my card and getting everyone ready for church for 10am, while my husband enjoyed a bit of a sleep in. I keep an eye on them all while I made my card at the dining room table.  My two year old, Amanda decided she wanted to join me too.   Here she is busy at work!

Welcome to Week 2 of The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is "Anything Goes", so this is a great opportunity for you to join us with any new creation you make.  Remember to stop by and see what the rest of the team has made.  You will also see the rule and guidelines for taking part.

Our sponsor this month is QKR and my card features one of their cute images, Boy With Balloons.
