Butterflies

This is my second post for the day.  If you wish to see my earlier post, please click here.

I have made another card for the Less is More Sketch Challenge (Week 52)
I am also entering this in the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.

Simple Butterflies

I dry embossed the lime green card with floral screen cuttlebug folder.  I mounted this on brown card that I had punched the edges with using my scalloped border punch.  I added some punched butterflies (kindly sent to my by Betty) and added the sentiment (From Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Garden Flower 97616).

My final card is completely differnet.  It uses the colours from The Play Date Cafe Challenge #116 and is the sketch from Card Patterns #110.

Card Patterns & The Play Date Cafe Colours

I used various scraps of card and paper for the background.  I used my border punch for the bottom of the card.  I added ribbon and gems.  The butterfly is from Inkadinka Clings.  I coloured the butterfly with copics and added some kindy glitz.

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments.

Less is More

My first card is for the challenge "Less is More"  Week 52 with a sketch.

I made two similar cards using this sketch, using slightly different colours.

Simple and green

The stamp is from Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Garden Delight 97623 and sentiment from Garden Flower 97616. I resist embossed the image with white embossing power and tea leaves ink. I mounted it on brown card for the edging, and stamped the sentiment in tea leaves ink too.

My second card.
Simple and brown

The second card uses these same stamp (Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Garden Delight 97623 and sentiment from Garden Flower 97616). Again I resist embossed the image with white embossing power, but this time used chocolate impress ink. I also mounted it on brown card for the edging, and stamped the sentiment in chocolate.

I think I like the brown one better, so this is the one I have entered in the Less is More sketch challenge.  Which is your favourite?

Thanks for dropping by and for your comments.

A CAS bird card

Usually my style consists of cards with lots of layers.  Recently I have seen lots of CAS (clean and simple) cards as people are taking part in the online CAS class.  I saw Sue's post with her lovely bird CAS card which she is entering in the Less is More Week 50 - One layer bird challenge.  I struggle with having lots of white space on the card, but thought I should have ago.  I liked the idea of making something for the Less is More challenge, but the only bird stamp I could find was a very small one.  The stamp is from Inkadinkado clear stamps Garden flower (97616). Hopefully it still counts.  I stamped it many times until I came up with something I was reasonably happy with.  Here are two cards to show you.  The first one I will enter in the challenge.

Card No.1
CAS bird card No 1

Card No. 2
CAS bird card No 2

After looking at some of the other cards in the Less is More challenge, I saw a card featuring an owl.  I suddenly realised that I have some owl stamps from The Craft's Meow so perhaps I will have to try and make another CAS creation.

The CAS online card class still goes for another week and  it can be done at anytime, although I know that doing it now at the same time as others is probably better.  Perhaps I should look at taking part and learn some new techniques for CAS cards.  I would appreciate any comments or suggestions on my two cards.

Thanks for dropping by.
