Last night I had some time to do some card making again. I was inspired by some cards I had seen on Dawn's blog. I love the way she used her stamp to create the background. Today's card is CASED from Dawn. When I saw her card with balloons I remembered the HA balloon stamp that
I have. I haven't used the stamp for a while. It is a great stamp to have for
kid's cards.
My balloon stamp is a bit bolder than Dawn's. I was going to use white and blue card, but the blue didn't quite match the card, so I did what Dawn did and inked my matted card too. Such a clever idea, Dawn! I decided to add twine rather than a bow so it would be more fitting for a boy.
Supplies:
Ink: Impress Celestre Blue
Stamps: HA Floating Balloon D1207, HA Happy Birthday C5594
Cardstock: White
Other: Twine (Dilly Dally "Celebrate" twine from My Mind's Eye), Copics
Thanks for dropping by and for your comments.

so glad I was able to inspire you. It is such fun to make your own backgrounds and inking up card for the matte is also great. Nice to know your backing will match perfectly. Love this balloon too and the twine is a great idea for a boy's card.
ReplyDeleteAngela this is a great CASE - I have also used Dawn's technique of colouring the card to match, but my card is not finished yet.....
