Hi,
Just a quick blog today. I was very pleased to see that I had another of my cards acknowledged at Wee Memories. I got the "I am a honorable hoot at Wee Memories" award. Click here to take a look at my card. It used my new stamps from The Craft's Meow, the owl in the Santa hat and I also used my favourite technique at the moment - resist embossing.
Here is my card for today. I am entering this in the Wee Memories challenge #78 "Free for All".
This is the card I decided to make several of to send overseas this year. I wanted something that looked interesting, but wasn't too time consuming and didn't involve too much cutting. It again includes my favourite technique, resist embossing. For the background I used the ornaments from Hero Art CL236 set - I have made good use of these ornaments. I white embossed the ornaments and then inked over the top with faded jeans distress ink.
The sentiment is also from this set. I used the spellbinder label dies to cut the shape for my sentiment. I kept the die on the white card and inked over the top of it so that it would leave a narrow white border.
Although the card includes red, I wanted to try something different from just the traditional colours of red and green, so hopefully with my use of blue I have achieved this.
Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.
