CCCB March - Green / St Patricks Day

The theme for this month's challenge( #14) at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog is Green or St Patrick's Day.  We'd like to thank our sponsor for this month, Rick St. Dennis.

Here is the card I have made for this challenge.

St Patrick's Day is not really something that I celebrate, so I thougth I would go with the green theme and make a card with one of the wonderful images from Rick St Dennis.

I sponged some white card with green and then stamped the background with a swirly stamp, but it could hardly been seen, so I then dry embossed it with a chervon embossing folder.  Now you can see the mixture of swirls and the cherovon lines.

We would love for you to take part in our challenge which goes for this month.  Click here to see the rules and to enter.

Thanks for dropping by and for your comments.

CCCB Love/Friendship Challenge - Week 4

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog closes tonight.  With February being a short month I have just realised that today is the last chance to take part in this month's challenge - Love/Friendship sponsored by Whoopsi Daisy!

Here is my second card that I made for this challenge.

Sorry not the greatest photo.  The good news is my computer is finally working again, so I can finally take better photos with my camera rather than my mobile.

We hope to see you next Wednesday for our new challenge for March.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again soon.

Hero Arts 90 minute scramble

It has been many months since I have been able to take part in the Hero Arts 90 minute scramble.  Paula in Australia hosted this scramble.  We had 90 minutes to create a card with a Celebrations/Congratulations theme.

Here is what I made.

Flower panel card

Sorry the picture is not quite so good. It was taken with my mobile phone, rather than my camera.  We have had some computer issues.  Our computer has now been repaired, but I haven't been able to download all the programme I use with my camera yet.  Hopefully it will all be up and running again soon.

Supplies:

Stamps:  (From Hero Arts) 4 flowers CG290, Branch Background CG122, Little Greeting Happy Birthday stamp C5594
Cardstock: Kraft and orange
Ink: Versafine black, Gumball Green (Stampin' Up)
Other:  DSP (for
paper piercing the flowers), Bitty Butterfly Punch (Stampin' Up), Pearls

The scramble started at 8am New Zealand time.  It was a busy morning, getting breakfast for myself and my children, making my card and getting everyone ready for church for 10am, while my husband enjoyed a bit of a sleep in. I keep an eye on them all while I made my card at the dining room table.  My two year old, Amanda decided she wanted to join me too.   Here she is busy at work!

CCCB Week 2 Love/Friendship

It is now week 2 of our Love/Friendship theme from The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.  We hope that you will visit and see the other wonderful creations the rest of the team has made.  We would also love for you to join us and take part in this challenge.

Here is my creation for this week as part of the DT - Team B.

The image is from our sponsor Whoopsi Daisy.  For this card I decided to make a side spring card.  If you would like to know how to make this style of card, click here.

Thanks for dropping by.

Enjoy the rest of your week..

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog theme for February is Love/Friendship - Challenge #13.  We would love for you to join us.  Please read the rules carefully when you participate as there unfortunately there were some that didn't last month.  We wouldn't want anyone to miss out on a prize because they didn't follow the rules!

Our sponsor for this month is Whoopsi Daisy and we have some of their lovely images that are featuring on our projects this month.

I am part of Team B so my cards will feature in week 2 & 4. I hope you will come back next week to see what I have created.

Have a great week.

Anything Goes at The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog

Happy New Year!

So sorry this is late.  I thought I had posted it two weeks, but only when I was doing the post for week 4 tonight, did I discover it was still sitting in my draft box!  Oh dear.  So here it is.

Welcome to Week 2 of The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is "Anything Goes", so this is a great opportunity for you to join us with any new creation you make.  Remember to stop by and see what the rest of the team has made.  You will also see the rule and guidelines for taking part.

Our sponsor this month is QKR and my card features one of their cute images, Boy With Balloons.

Supplies:
Card: Light blue, white
DSP: Sorry can't remember where is is from
Stamp: Happy Birthday sentiment from Stampin' Up, Itty Bitty Banners (used with Framelit Dies)
Ink: Midnight Muse from Stampin' Up
Other: Eyelets (something I haven't used for quite a while!), Woodgrain embossing folder, Colouring pencils

You may have also recently heard that The Crafter's Cafe is closing.   This is separate from The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog, so this challenge blog will continue.  The good news is that it is looking more likely that The Crafter's Cafe will be able to remain open.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I do hope you will join us with this month's challenge.
