The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog - Halloween with Distressing

Welcome to my first creation for The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog (known as CCCB for short) with their challenge Halloween with Distressing - Challenge #9

Our sponsor is Limited Runs Digis.

This was a challenge for me.  I have never made a Halloween card before and I am not a huge fan of Halloween however I wanted to make a card for my new role on the design team.  I grew up not doing anything for Halloween and I guess here in New Zealand we don't celebrate it quite as much as they do in America.  In New Zealand some children dress up and go "trick or treating", but that was something I was never allowed to do and my own children don't do it either.  I don't like the idea of dressing up in scary costumes and going around the neighbourhood asking for lollies.  So my card has stayed away from the traditional witches, ghosts and scary things and I have gone for something more neutral.  It is something else I think of when it comes to Halloween - Pumpkins.

Here is my creation.

Supplies:
Image: Pumkin Patch from Limited Runs Digis
Markers: Stampin' Up Marker pens
Stamps: Leaf stamp set - not sure of the name
Cardstock: White, orange and black
Other: Distressing tool

Come along and see what others in the Design Team have made.

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog would love to have you join us with this challenge and create a Halloween project and include some distressing.  There are no limits, you can use any images, die cuts, etc... and can make anything you like, cards, ATCs, minis, etc...
Remember you have until midnight on 31st October to submit your creations.

Thanks for dropping by and for your comments.

  1. delightful Angela. I don't do many Halloween cards either... but did buy a couple of stamps this year and made a couple of cards to send to friends in the USA

  2. Well done Angela - for a non-halloween halloween card :-). Love the way you have used the leaves and the pumpkin stamps.
